FLD Donates to Me Too magazine
19th February 2017: Last night at the disco, our friend and long-time FLDer William Rae presented a cheque on our behalf to Phionna from Me Too! Magazine. William did a santa dip at Christmas (yes that's right he swam in the North Sea in December!) and raised over £1500 pounds for this great charity. 'Me Too' produce a quarterly magazine, a what's on guide for children with additional support needs & a great resource for parents of special needs kids.
The £200 donation comes from the entrance money given by our dancers at the disco and will go towards the next issue of the magazine.
Me Too said on Facebook: "We are incredibly grateful for the generous donation and especially humbled to be supported by the very community that we serve".
Keep up the great work Phionna and the team!
4th June 2015: DJs Austin Crow and Charlie are regularly asked to provide a Friday afternoon disco at the brilliant Inchgarth Community Centre as part of their Friday Entertainment for their busy schedule. Keep an eye on Inchgarth's Facebook pages for updated information.
1st May 2013: It's been a while so we thought we'd share this little video taken at Austin's birthday party for family and close friends a few weeks ago. We had a magician along called Garry Seagraves who's a real showman and comedian. We thought this bit was really funny, hope you agree!
The disco's are still going really well this year and Corinne has been sharing her great photos on our Facebook page which you can view here www.facebook.com/pages/feel-like-dancing-disco-austin-crows-special-needs-disco. Please join us over there!
1st October 2012: Feel Like Dancing was proud to sponsor a puppetry session which was organised by our friends at North East Community Care and held recently to aid people with disabilities to communicate through the puppets. The event was a great success and enjoyed by all! Check out these photos of the puppets in action:
We are always looking to sponsor similar events so if you or your friends can think of a session, class or event which you'd like us to donate towards or organise, please get in touch!
Number 16 Bus
10th September 2012: It has come to our attention that First Bus company are making changes to their bus routes as of the 15th September, the day before our disco. Most significantly they are cancelling the number 16 route which many of you use in order to attend the disco.
We have researched some alternative routes for you as detailed below:
Number 5: Leaves Market St. at 6:26pm and goes down Union St and Union Grove, arriving on Springfield Road at 6:40. There is a short walk (c. 5minutes) up Springfield Road to the Treetops. Please click here for the forthcoming No. 5 timetable for Sunday
Number 19: This can be caught at the bottom of Springfield Road on Great Western Road twice hourly. This is a c. 20 minute walk from the Treetops down the hill (easier). Please click here for the forthcoming No. 19 timetable for Sundays
Number 11: There's a bus every half hour from Queens Road at the top of Springfield Road after the disco but it is quite a long walk up the hill. Please click here for the forthcoming No. 11 timetable for Sundays
We have tried to ask First Bus if they'd put a service on especially for the disco but it's unfortunately not viable. We'd love for you to get in touch about your thoughts or any issues with catching the bus so we can share this with First. Please email Austin or come and find us at the disco to share your bus stories.
Another option is for you to ask a friend or family member if they'd be available to give you a lift. We'd be upset if anybody couldn't come to join the party because of transport problems.
Disco Lights for Create
12th June 2012: Austin and John have been busy over the past few months customising a pair of disco lights for another local charity. We presented them to the Create Aberdeen group at their last disco on 25th May. Below are some photos of John and Austin creating the lights and of the presentation.

May 2011: Please take the time to watch a video John made about Austin's Disco below
Please get in touch if you have any queries or comments about the disco, we love to hear how much you enjoy the disco!
